DELAWARE – This week DART’s Rideshare Delaware is re-launching a program to help newly employed Delawareans get to work for free.

The program is known as “Get A Job, Get A Ride.” Through the initiative, any employer in the state can sign up to qualify as partner and then their new employees can sign up for a free 30-Day Bus Pass. Officials with DART say this benefits everyone involved by helping people get to work which in turn increases ridership and helps ensure a more reliable workforce for employers. Not to mention, officials say many people may need extra resources like this because of the current economic situation.

“So I think it’s perfect timing with everything people are going through. To have a free pass for 30 days is a big incentive and cost savings for individuals,” says Kathleen Grier, the Project Manager for RideShare Delaware.

DART says they have now streamlined the entire process to make it all available online and the pass is available on the app.
