SNOW HILL, Md.- A well known celebrity bodyguard here on the Eastern Shore has announced that he will be doing something special in 2021 to help out victims of bullying.

Bubba Almony, celebrity bodyguard and US Chairman for Bodyguards Against Bullying, announced Monday that he will be hosting a celebrity charity basketball game on August 28 20-21 at the Worcester County Recreation and Parks.

Almony said this event will help raise money and awareness for cancer and bullying.

He said a challenging part of planning this event during the pandemic is the time frame and the uncertainty of how things will operate in 2021.

But he said with the uncertainty comes hope, and he thinks this event will unite the community.

“It’s getting people together and most importantly for a great cause, what we can do when we come together, the possibilities are endless, anything can happen. It really takes not only the community, not just the state, but the entire world,” Almony said.

Almony said big names like Terrance West, Jacoby Jones, and Kendra Lust will be at the event.

He said if people want to sponsor or donate, they can go to the website www.bubbaalmony.com or go to Bubba’s Facebook page at Bubba Almony.
