12th DE Correctional Officer tests positive for COVID-19

SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Department of Correction announced on Monday that an additional Correctional Officer in the state has tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total number in the state to 12.

This officer is assigned to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center and was reportedly last on duty April 6th, when they were assigned to supervise an inmate at a local hospital. The officer began self-isolating at home after beginning to experience flu-like symptoms.
