A Berlin man was sentenced last week, following his conviction on two counts of second degree rape back in September.

61-year-old Keith Mariani was sentenced to life with all but 15 years suspended for his conviction on one count of second degree rape, and another 15 years for his conviction on the second count of second degree rape.

The judge ordered both sentences to be served consecutively and without the possibility of parole, meaning he will serve a mandatory minimum sentence of 30 years and will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
