LINCOLN, Del. (AP) — Authorities say a Delaware man has been found dead after a domestic incident in which his wife was stabbed.

State police say troopers were called to a home on Cedar Drive in Lincoln about 6 p.m. Saturday and found that a 36-year-old woman had been stabbed several times by her 39-year-old husband.

Police say the suspect fled the scene before troopers arrived and was later found dead in a nearby park.

The victim was taken to Christiana Hospital, where she was reported to be in stable condition.

Officials say an autopsy will be performed to determine the manner and cause of the husband's death.

Authorities did not release the names of the man or woman.
