Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell died Wednesday night (May 17th) at the age of 52, confirmed his publicist.
According to The Seattle Times, Chris Cornell's widow, Vicky Cornell, has hired sculptor Wayne Toth to create a statue of the Soundgarden frontman for the city. Cornel and his music career were both born there.
The cause of Chris Cornell’s death has been confirmed, according to The Associated Press.
Chris Cornell was laid to rest at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles today, and many members of the rock community joined the musician’s widow, Vicky, to mourn and pay their respects to the late Soundgarden frontman.
Mike McCready of Pearl Jam will publish his first book on May 30th.
